Star Wars Zero Company Jedi & Special Operators

Can Hawks be a Jedi in STAR WARS Zero Company? Understand Tel-Rea, Cly, astromech recruitment and why special identities are not ordinary class choices.

Hawks cannot choose Jedi as a standard class in STAR WARS Zero Company, and neither can a custom humanoid recruit. Tel-Rea is the authored Jedi Padawan. Cly’s Mandalorian identity and recruitable astromechs also need to be distinguished from the eight standard Specializations used by most operators.

Tel-Rea is the Jedi operator

Tel-Rea Vokoss is a Tognath Jedi Padawan, not a generic class template that can be assigned to anyone. Creating Hawks with a particular appearance or choosing a different standard Specialization does not unlock a Jedi version of the protagonist.

That distinction helps when planning a squad around a character’s identity. A standard class supplies a tactical role, while an authored operator can have an individual background and unique talents. Consult the standard classes for the ordinary role choices rather than looking for Jedi inside that same list.

Cly, Mandalorians and cosmetic armor

Cly Kullervo is the Mandalorian associated with Clan Verminoth. The official Q&A distinguishes that character from a general character-creation choice. Equipping an ARC Trooper appearance does not make Hawks or a recruit a Mandalorian.

Species and outfits do not provide inherent stat bonuses. Choose cosmetics for the appearance, and inspect actual abilities and equipment for combat decisions. A visual resemblance is not evidence of a new class or a different character identity.

Recruiting astromechs

Astromech recruitment becomes available through campaign progress and Droid Bay support. A droid-heavy team can be used where deployment restrictions allow, but Hawks is still required on story missions. The option to recruit droids does not turn Separatist battle droids into available company recruits.

Keep an astromech’s recruitment separate from a cosmetic entitlement. Eligible Crystalline Astromech pre-order appearances have their own progression and ownership conditions. The bonus-content guide explains the official unlock path without promising those cosmetics to every post-launch buyer.

Do not confuse a cameo with a playable recruit

Anakin Skywalker appears in the official English cast announcement, with Matt Lanter providing the voice. That credit establishes a performance, not permanent recruitment into the company. The same caution applies to turning a story trailer into an unsupported character-unlock guide.

Use characters and companions for the featured company and squad size for deployment and roster capacity. Those are firmer planning tools than assuming every familiar Star Wars identity is selectable.
